Mine was overheating and turning off. I didn't even know about the large filter near the base. Cleaned it out and drying now, hopefully will run smoothly for here on out.

Thank you, I have 2 Kirby vacuums (a G3 & G4) and they are grey instead of chrome

Problem is when you use the polish you remove the protective coating off the aluminum and it will oxidize quick. You need to get some ceramic wax and apply it to the aluminum to give it a protective coating again.

Taking the roller head off and putting it back on worked for me! Thanks so much for posting!

Enjoyed the video on maintaining the Shark Navigator. I was hoping you would know how to fix the wheels. They keep falling off which essentially renders the vacuum worthless.

I love this vacuum...and I hate it. I've had it for 4-5 years and it still drives me nuts. What I like is that it has labels on the parts, and diagrams where needed. What I don't like is that after I've vacuumed and I'm ready to put it away something always falls apart, and then I can't get it back together. The manual doesn't help, the excellent video doesn't help. I simply can't figure it out, so I put it away and limp along with my cordless vac. I pulled it out yesterday and miraculously, it worked. I vacuumed one room, emptied the bin, something fell off, and I can't get it back together. Nothing to do but go try again.

This kid is amazing. I need to go through this with my navigator. I had no idea about each of these pieces. Very thorough and informative video. I actually can’t wait to see if I can get my vacuum picking things up again.

Good Evening, I was going to throw my vacuum away after several attempts to find out the decrepancy with the suction. You are Amazing!!!!. After trying to clean the hose with a broom. I filled a bucket with hot water let it sit and all the dirty water came out with a clog of built up residue. I have it hanging on my shower head. I will put it in the sun to insure it dries out. I had it stored in my garage 2 years and forgot. I can't thank you enough. You are an excellent teacher. I appreciate your time.

Whatever you do, don't ask for a new dust filter

guys i have a problem, i called a vacuum shop for this exact product and instead of getting it, a red van showed up in front of my house and gave me a new identity. i now life in washington.

Thanks a lot. Just stuck a broom handle in the tube thing and it ripped the tube apart. The clog is out.

You better hope your filter doesn’t break or you’re gonna get something unexpected when you call to fix it
